As a California Notary Public, we are prohibited by law from rendering legal advice of any nature during or in conjunction with any Notarial Act.  If you have any questions regarding your documents, please consult an attorney or the person who provided you the documents prior to our notarization.  This means we CANNOT give you any advice, help you prepare, fill out any documents or make any recommendations in relation to any legal documents for notarization.  As a Notary Public, it is our job to notarize your documents and ensure it is complete.  In addition, we cannot notarize your documents if it is determined that the signer’s awareness and/or willingness to sign is in question.  The signer and the Notary also need to communicate in the same language.
